WOMEN HELPING WOMEN
"WAHINE E KOKUA ANA WAHINE"
MADE A DECISION
With "Made a Decision" as this year's theme, the retreat will offer speaker meetings, discussion meetings and workshops, plus guided hikes, yoga, meditation, music and crafts. If you have a recommendation or are willing to provide leadership for something we haven't considered, let us know!
CAMP HALE KOA
Hale Koa offers a unique rustic camping experience with 8 cabins that hold up to ten beds each, 2 shower/restroom facilities, and a large meeting hall with a good sized kitchen. Wireless Internet is available yet there is no cell service in the Kokee area. A landline phone is available in the kitchen for emergencies.
Camp Hale Koa is located just before the 13 mile marker on the road to Kokee State Park. *Note, you will likely lose cell reception at mile marker 8. Look for the sign on the left of the highway and near the small park that points you down a dirt road. Take this road all the way down...it ends at the camp. 4x4 drive cars or trucks are recommended if the weather is very rainy. If you need a ride or are willing to provide a ride to someone, please note it on your registration. We will make every effort to secure transportation for those who need it.
Weather conditions up at Kokee can be unpredictable in the spring - from warm & sunny to cool & wet so it's best to be prepared with layers that include a raincoat. You can count on chilly nights so bring a thick sweater to enjoy for our evening campfires!
We will be serving 5 meals (Friday dinner, Saturday 3 meals, Sunday breakfast) as well as a variety of snacks and drinks available anytime. Coffee will be brewing around the clock. Most dietary needs can be met so be sure to note any food preferences when registering.
